We are a national membership organisation for landlords, tenants and other related organisations. We are a not-for-profit voluntary organisation registered as a Company Limited.

We are responsible to our members and our independence and our credibility is guaranteed. We are governed by a Board of Management elected from our membership represented by 6 tenants, 6 landlords and 3 co-optees. TPAS Scotland is run by a Board of Management made up of volunteers who are appointed each year at our AGM. At this year’s AGM the following were elected to the Board of Management for the forth coming year.

We aim to promote tenant involvement in decisions about their housing and to bring tenants and landlords to work together.

Tenant Aims

  • To enhance the capacity of tenants and residents organisations to organise themselves in order that they can address the housing needs for the benefit of their community.

Landlord Aims

  • To encourage landlords to acknowledge, value and respect the independence of tenant organisations

  • To advocate to the Scottish Executive and landlord organisations that investing in people and housing stock will help to build strong and healthy communities

We can provide your organisation with access to a wide range of experience and knowledge including:

  • acting as Independent Advisors to tenants on housing transfer and potential housing transfer to community ownership. We can also work with Housing Associations and communities Scotland on involvement in housing transfer.

  • Undertaking tenant participation audits for local Authorities and Registered Social Landlords.

  • Policy advice, strategy development and good practice.

  • Working with local authorities on local partnership.

  • Training for tenants and staff on specific housing topics

  • Training needs analysis.

  • Tenant participation with a dedicated staff member to support to organisations.

  • Consultancy services.
