Albyn Housing Society Receives TPAS Accreditation

Albyn Housing Society has become the newest registered social landlord to be accredited be TPAS!

In obtaining TPAS Accreditation, Albyn Housing Society has shown that it meets the highest standards of resident and community involvement.  Customers have many opportunities to influence decisions affecting not only their local communities but also the strategic decisions taken by the organisation. 

Despite the difficulties associated with involving customers spread across a large rural area, Albyn Housing Society has invested considerable resources to ensure customers throughout the community have the opportunity to get involved and make their views known.  A range of involvement techniques including tenant conferences, regular postal consultation, support for tenant organisations and area forums, ensures customers are able to choose the type and level of involvement that suits them best. 

In particular, Albyn’s award winning ‘Area Forums’ have impressed TPAS.  With tenants and staff working together to set targets, measure performance and ensure continuous improvement of all landlord functions, the Society is championing replicable best practise that the whole sector can learn from. 

The Society has also invested considerable time and resources to improving the ‘customer experience’, which is evident in the development of their new customer service charter and service promises.
