TPAS Annual Conference
The TPAS Scotland Annual conference is the biggest event in Scotland for Tenants, Residents, Officers and anyone working in Housing. This year the conference is the Apex hotel in Dundee 2nd - 4th October 2009.
Many changes have taken place in Scottish Housing world during the past year, not least the new Housing Bill which will be introduced in late spring. Our conference will discuss and explore many of these changes, their impacts and implications. Come along to this event and meet friends, old and new, network with other delegates from all over Scotland and learn from our range of workshops and plenary sessions. We will once again have our popular opening session, a wide variety of over 30 workshops on offer, together with a couple of short plays, visits and an exciting closing session.
Sessions include: How regeneration impacts on the health of tenants, The regeneration of East of Glasgow for the forthcoming, Commonwealth Games, Promoting Race Equality in Housing, Tenant Led Inspections, Tenant Participation in Rural Areas, Accredited Training, Housing Bill 2009, Investment in Affordable Housing and many more!!
There will also be the opportunity to see the very popular and hard hitting play 'H is 4' by Naomi Breeze again as welll as her new play on Anti-Social Behaviour.
If there is any topic that you would specifically like us to deliver as a workshop, please get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate this.
Last years event was attended by more than 300 delegates from all over Scotland, who have provided excellent feedback on the conference. Many of the suggestions in the evaluation forms have been taken into consideration and incorporated our event this year - especially to issue delegates with their bedroom keys prior to 4pm!
Accommodation will be provided in the Apex Hotel and the Holiday Inn Express, Dundee and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Single room accommodation is available at a supplement.
Our event represents great value for money, included in the costs are: Full conference facilities, lunch, dinner, evening entertainment and accommodation on Friday and Saturday.
We have also arranged two optional visits for the Saturday aftenoon - one to St Andrews Castle and the other to RRS Discovery & Verdant Works. Please note that places are limited and will be allocated on strictly first come, first served basis.
