Welcome to the Tenant Participation Advisory Service Scotland

TPAS Scotland is the national tenant and landlord participation advisory service for Scotland. We promote good practice in tenant participation throughout Scotland.

Lesley Baird, Chief Executive of TPAS Scotland says "tenant involvement is essential if landlords are to meet the specific housing needs of their tenants. Tenant participation, however does not always happen naturally and TPAS offer a range of services to help you get the most out of tenant participation."

carbon footprint

Making a start

Saving fuel and reducing carbon emissions has begun at TPAS. By all staff agreeing to work from home on Thursday's & Friday's we're able to save office power and the petrol used when commuting into Glasgow.

It's not going to save the plant but little steps, like this, are a start. With modern technology calls are answered and we can access our computer files, emails, etc. So far, we think it is working but we would like to hear from our customer.

Happy Translate

TPAS join Happy to Translate

TPAS have taken another step to enabling their services to be barrier free! In addition to offering high quality services to all parts of Scotland, irrespective of urban, rural or island communities.  TPAS are now, through its membership of Happy To Translate, more easily able to support and work with tenants groups, landlords and organisations where English may not be the first language.

Lesley Baird the Chief Executive said “we have always considered ourselves a truly Scotland wide organisation, with few barriers in our path on the route to encouraging and enabling participation, we have now broken down another barrier, and are delighted to be a member of Happy to Translate and the benefits it will bring to us”.

Put tenant participation at the heart of your organisation

Providing and developing services that reflects needs lies at the heart of all housing organisations.

Is it time to review your tenant participation strategy? Are you up to date with the best ways of involving tenants? TPAS can help you decide what tenant participation measures suit you best.

An audit of your tenant participation strategy shows from the tenants' perspectives what is working and what isn't. To find out more give us a call on 0141 552 3633 or email enquiries@tpasscotland.org.uk
