Lesley said Kevin Stewart MSP, Scottish Government Minister for Housing will launch our first ever Scrutiny Week. We will also be joined by the Scottish Housing Regulator’s CEO Michael Cameron. They will set out why they believe tenants have a central role in scrutinising landlord services and perfomance.

Kevin Stewart

Tony said this will be a gentle run through of what folk need to consider. It’s useful even for experienced people, to think through the early stages, so they can perhaps amend their activities. Often things change overtime and it’s good to stop and consider what improvements are potentially needed.”

Scrutiny is about tenants working together to take a closer look at their landlords services and performance and to make recommendations for improvement.

The webinars will be spread over 3 mornings from 10.15 to 12.30.

You can book places for 1, 2 or all 3 sessions just email elaine.scoular@tpasscotland.org.uk

During these sessions we will be focussing on the following areas:

  • Exploring scrutiny & performance.
  • Investigating undertaking scrutiny
  • Learning about using performance information to improve services
  • Building contacts with experienced tenants and staff
  • Examining improving services through performance & scrutiny.
  • Sharing experiences and ask questions
